Act Decisively and Remove Obstacles

I hope you now understand the necessity to find life purpose in your work and know what matters in life’s pursuits, two topics I’ve discussed in previous blogs. When you organize your daily routine to maintain direction, there are important issues to be aware of before you can accomplish your aims. The first is to learn to act decisively to remove obstacles from your daily routine.

To start and maintain your life’s purpose, find motives for your life’s pursuits and be organized to maintain direction, it is imperative that you act decisively to remove obstacles that can cause anxiety-producing tension and fear. Any obstacles that can cause mental incapacitation can deprive your mind and body of its strength and ability to overcome paralyzing effects of internal and external debilitating negative energy. For instance, if you think that you are trapped in a body you are not satisfied with or if you internalize and believe negative comments you hear about how you should look, think and feel, then an internal destructive cycle begins. Your psychological base is made up of past, present, and future behaviors, things you have done, are doing or want to do. This mental and physical flow of energy can spin us out of focus and control our daily routine. We all have experienced times when we have had a loss of motivation, difficulty concentrating and performing. To cope with these conditions, we sometimes start or increase the use of food, drugs and/or alcohol, causing us to spring back and forth from a feeling of well-being to anxieties and depression. Anxiety-producing tension is a state of uneasiness and distress about future uncertainties or apprehension. Although these states are generally associated with your mind, they can cause physical pain or uneasiness with respect to some uncertain situation or event past, present or in the future. If you are worried about how you look (too fat, overweight, not the ideal body or any other state of being), these persistent doubts and/or fears can produce mental agitation.

Think about your past and present life behaviors and ask yourself if you are paralyzed by any obstacle you have not removed from your daily activities. If you have, are you concentrating on the root causes of the symptoms you are experiencing? In many cases, at the heart of our stress and anxiety symptoms are unresolved conflicts, which leads to obstacles that we do not have the courage to be aware of.

Courage is a state of quality of mind and/or spirit that enables you to face danger with self-possession, confidence and resolution. Courage is needed to act decisively. Courage is needed when you aren’t aware of the outcomes. Courage is needed when aim and it seems it will take forever to accomplish it.

Therefore, the underlying theme of “Act decisively to remove obstacles from your daily routine” is to have courage to be aware but also the fortitude, resolution, tenacity, backbone and/or gut to remain steadfast in making sure that you maintain the support to help you remove obstacles from your daily routine. It does not matter if the obstacle is mental, physical or emotional. Remember, when you are aware, you have the beginning of action, until next time, Take Care of You.
