How to use DHST

Learn to use the application of DHST to track and re-track distress and discomfort within the muscle plane and axes of movement, starting by exploring, locating within a zone, then isolating compression. Pain and discomfort can occur in different body parts and increase stress, anxiety, depression, and fatigue. DHST disturbs and reduces signals to the individual's brain and passes them to the nerves, which creates feeling. The friction between the fingers and skin increases blood flow, containing nutrients and oxygen that repair, making the nerves receive fewer messages to create distress and discomfort (Cutshall et al., 2010).
